Bio
I have spent over 15 years in the engineering field focused on R&D and new product development. I began my career in the medical device industry designing handheld electrosurgical devices and stent placement related products. I have worked cross functionally to reduce cost in high volume products throughout my career saving companies thousands of dollars while improving quality and adding value. Most recently I have worked in the automotive industry to electrify large on-highway vehicles. This combination of industries has provided me with new insights and ways to pull together synergies and drive innovation.
To guide design, I utilize techniques and tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, Fault Tree, Hazard Analysis, FEA, GD&T, and DFM principles. I’ve lead the creation of IOVV Trace Matrices to track Voice of the Customer/User Requirements, development of Product Specifications, and Verification and Validation Testing- including IQ/OQ/PQ activities. I am also well adept in the manufacturing, quality, and testing areas of the engineering process including high volume manufacturing, progressive stamping, plating, plastic injection molding, test fixture design, GMP, DOE, MSA, Gauge R&R, Kaizen, LEAN/Six Sigma practices, 8D, 5 Why’s, and CAPA experience.
I obtained my BS in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University in May of 2006 and my PMP Certificate in May of 2024.
Above all else, I love the creative process and bringing meaningful life changing solutions to meet customer needs. Living near the mountains and other natural beauty inspires me everyday to enjoy what I have chosen to pursue in life.
